Sweet simplicity in this pairing of polymer and gems! These Luna pendants were inspired by ancient “lunala” motifs. The upturned crescent is often a symbol of the feminine and creativity; appearing in folk art from Celtic Britain to Eastern Europe & Russia. We will shape and stamp our polymer moons, and “stitch” gems along the edge. Finished with chain – it is ready to wear! ( As seen in “Step by Step Wire)
Jenny is a mixed media artist, creating sculptural pieces inspired by nature, folklore and mythology. These themes and inspirations are a thread unifying her diverse body of work: mixed media collages, ceramic shrines and tiles. Her jewelry work incorporates her ceramic “Mythic Nature” line of sculptural pendants as well as metal, resin and gems.
She holds a fine art/art history degree and was a full time art/ceramics teacher before altering her career path. Now as a working artist, she creates in her 2 studios – the “dirty” clay studio and the “clean” jewelry/collage studio, accompanied by her canine furry kids. Her work can be found at www.jdaviesreazor.com.
